    CHILD FIND

    Parents who suspect their preschool child may be handicapped can now get free help from their local school districts.   

    Brielle School District is taking part in Child Find, a community program to locate and provide services for those children ages 3-21 who may have physical, mental, or emotional difficulties.   

    Screening, professional guidance, and an educational program (if determined by the Child Study Team as essential) are all available free of charge through the school.   

    Possible signs of a handicap:

    à           Known visual, auditory, and/or orthopedic problems

    à           Child has trouble seeing people or objects

    à           Child has trouble hearing voices or other sounds

    à           Child has difficulty manipulating small objects or gross motor concerns, i.e. walking

    à           Child has severe speech difficulties

    à           Child is not talking in short sentences by age 4

    à           Child has temper tantrums when he/she does not get his/her own way

    à           Child has difficulty getting along with others

    à           Child becomes easily frustrated, even when completing simple tasks

    à           Child has known health problems that will affect him/her academically

    Necesidades de Educacion Especial para Los Ninos de Las Edades de 3 a 21

         Las Yuntas del Nino Estudio Locales de Manasquan, Avon, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, Belmar, Lake Como, Brielle y Wall Township estan buscando a los padres quienes pueden sospechar que su nino puede tener una disibilidad. Debajo de la ley del Estado de New Jersey cada distrito de escuela tiene que proveer para el auxilio de educacion libe a un nino entre las edades de 3 a 21, quien ha sido identificado por La Yunta del Nino Estudio local de teniendo una disabilidad.

    Este tambien incluye los trabajadores emigrados y las personas sin casas. Si alguien sospecha que su nino puede tener alguna dificultad emocional, fisica y/o mental que puede impedir con su abilidad de aprender, por favor llamar la oficina de La Yunta del Nino Estudio apropriado en el pueblo en que Ud. vive.
