• The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties has accepted the proposal of the IC HOPE 2013 team to present a yearly award at the conclusion of the annual Holiday Hunger Challenge.  The award will be funded by the IC HOPE 2013 team (from the 2012 Governor's Cup Award.)  The IC HOPE Student Leadership Award will honor one school that shows exceptional student leadership; the award is intended to promote volunteerism by recognizing excellence. The winning school is selected by the FoodBank leaders and presented by the IC HOPE Scholarship Trustees.
    • The IC HOPE Student Leadership Scholarship Awards are patterned on the Students in Action program that is part of the nationally recognized Jefferson Awards program founded by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, US Senator Robert Taft, Jr., and Sam Beard.  In addition to taking an active part in the IC HOPE initiative to raise food and funds for the FoodBank, student leaders are distinguished by their demonstrated ability to inspire others to help others.
