    November 27th, 2018

Thursday's boys' basketball game vs Oak Hill Academy has been cancelled. They have a small team this year and quite a few students are out sick with the flu. So, they are unable to field a team for the game on Thursday. We will practice on Thursday until 5:00 pm.

Tomorrow is the boys' opening game of the season. Please come support the boys as they host Antrim School from Point Pleasant Beach at appoximately 3:45 pm.

    GO BLAZERS!!!

    November 6th, 2018

Thank you to all 28 boys that tried out for the 2018-2019 Brielle School basketball team. It was great to work with all the boys and there were many very hard decisions to be made. I tried my best to assess each boys’ basketball ability over the tryout days. Cutting players is my least favorite thing about coaching. If you are in 6th or 7th grade, please tryout again next season as we will be graduating five eighth graders. Your effort these past three days was tremendous, so thank you very much.

Please come to see me #12. I would like you to be a part of the team this year if you are interested.

If you have a question about what I saw at tryouts, please come to see me and we can discuss.

     November 2nd, 2018

We had our first day of tryouts today for the 2018-2019 Brielle Blazer Boys' Basketball Team. We will continue tryouts on Monday and Tuesday. We'll meet on Monday from 3:10-5:30 pm, and on Tuesday from 3:10-5:00 pm.

    Have a great weekend!

    October 30th, 2018

Basketball tryouts will begin on Friday, November 2nd from 3:10-5:00 pm (this is so that the boys can go to the girls MCAL Championship soccer game on Thursday). Tryouts will continue on Monday, November 5th from 3:10-5:30 pm.

Please make sure all your medical paperwork is handed in to Mrs. Looney so you can begin tryouts.

     See everyone on Friday!

    October 18, 2018

There is a boys basketball sign up form found outside Mr. Labrecque's classroom. Any 6th-8th grade boy interested in trying out for the basketball team this season should sign the form.

Basketball tryouts will begin after the soccer season ends. Please have all paperwork in to Mrs. Looney before tryouts begin.

There will be an interest meeting for any 6th-8th grade boy hoping to tryout for the basketball team on Tuesday, October 23rd during the beginning of 5th period in Mr. Labrecque's classroom. The meeting should take 5-10 minutes.

    October 2018:

The MCAL regular season schedule has been announced for the 2018-19 season. You can see our schedule on the "Game Schedule" link on the left of the screen.

We will again try to schedule non-league games this season since our league schedule is only 12 games. So far, we have added games vs Oak Hill Academy (November 29th at home), Wall Intermediate School (December 5th at home), and Ocean Township (December 14th at Ocean Township Middle School). Our first MCAL game takes place on November 28th vs Antrim at home.

Tryouts for the team will begin as soon a soccer ends. Please have all your paperwork in order so we can begin tryouts as soon as soccer ends. The tentative practice schedule for November is posted (under "Calendar of Game/Practice Schedule") so you can take a look at the practice times for the team.

    See everyone at tryouts.
