Anticipated School Business Administrator/Board Secretary (anticipated January 1, 2027 effective date)
The School Business Administrator/Board Secretary serves as the district’s chief financial and operational officer, responsible for managing the district’s financial affairs, business operations, facilities, transportation, food services, purchasing, risk management, and Board of Education support functions. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Superintendent, Board of Education, staff, and community stakeholders to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant district operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Board Secretary and attend all Board of Education meetings.
- Develop, administer, and monitor the district budget, including long-range financial planning.
- Prepare financial reports, Treasurer’s Reports, budget analyses, bank reconciliations, and required state and federal submissions.
- Oversee accounting, payroll, purchasing, auditing, employee benefits, personnel administration, insurance, and risk management functions.
- Administer state and federal grants, including ESEA, IDEA, and other funding programs.
- Manage facilities, maintenance, custodial services, transportation, food services, and capital improvement projects.
- Coordinate bids, contracts, procurement processes, and compliance with New Jersey statutes and regulations.
- Maintain Board records, meeting minutes, policy administration, OPRA compliance, and governance support.
- Serve as liaison to auditors, attorneys, architects, engineers, and other professional service providers.
- Support labor relations, collective bargaining activities, and employee benefits administration.
- Advise the Superintendent and Board on financial, operational, and business matters affecting the district.
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey School Business Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility (CE) required.
- Minimum two years of successful experience as a School Business Administrator/Board Secretary or Assistant Business Administrator in a public school district preferred.
- Strong knowledge of school finance, budgeting, accounting, GAAP, payroll, purchasing, grants management, and financial reporting.
- Experience with NJDOE reporting systems, including EWEG, Homeroom, ASSA, DRTRS, Extraordinary Aid, Chapter 44, and related compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of New Jersey school law, Board governance, OPRA, public procurement, labor relations, employee benefits, and risk management.
- Experience with facilities management, construction planning, capital projects, transportation, and food service operations.
- Proficiency with financial management and student information systems; experience with Genesis SchoolFi, BoardDocs, or similar platforms preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, technology, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all stakeholders.
Salary Range/Benefits:
- Salary range: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 - salary is comensurate with experience.

- Participation in the NJ Division of Pensions & Benefits TPAF Retirement System.
Brielle Elementary School anticipates a 10 month, tenure track, School Nurse vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year, effective August 31, 2026.
Requirements:
- NJDOE School Nurse certificate;
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey;
- CPR/First Aid certified;
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred;
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Salary range: Brielle Education Association Salary Guide $60,234.00 - $92,629.00. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Custodian 12 month - Evening Shift 3pm-11pm
Responsibilities
Performs various custodial duties as directed by the Facilities Manager and/or Principal to promote and maintain a clean and safe learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in custodial practices and procedures is preferred.
- Black Seal license is preferred, or the ability to obtain it within a year.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures in school facilities is preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Salary range: $31,000.00 - $34,000.00, to be prorated. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Single health benefits coverage for the first three years (eligible for spouse/dependent benefits after third year), paid time off: 12 sick days, 3 personal days, 2 family illness days, and 10 vacation days. Participation in the PERS (Public Employees' Retirement System) pension system.
