Anticipated: Paraprofessional
Brielle Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support the physical, emotional, and social needs of our students. This is a full-time, 10-month position with the possibility of working during the extended school year. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment and will work collaboratively with teachers, students, and families to promote student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Students: Assist students with physical needs, such as mobility and personal care, as well as emotional and social needs, including providing encouragement and guidance.
- Classroom Assistance: Help teachers with instructional activities, classroom management, and individualized support to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Behavioral Support: Implement behavior intervention strategies and support students in developing appropriate social and emotional skills.
- Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and needs.
- Record Keeping: Assist in documenting student progress, behavioral incidents, and other relevant information.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher education preferred.
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to various instructional and support needs.
Salary range: $21,489.00 - $24,000.00. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Anticipated: Custodian, Evenings
Brielle School District is seeking a full-time 12 month custodian to work the 3:00pm-11:00pm shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of our facilities.
Responsibilities
Performs various custodial duties as directed by the Facilities Manager and/or Principal to promote and maintain a clean and safe learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in custodial practices and procedures is preferred.
- Black Seal license is preferred, or the ability to obtain it within a year.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures in school facilities is preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Salary range: $31,000.00 - $34,000.00, to be prorated. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Single health benefits coverage for the first three years (eligible for spouse/dependent benefits after third year), paid time off: 12 sick days, 3 personal days, 2 family illness days, and 10 vacation days. Participation in the PERS (Public Employees' Retirement System) pension system.
