Cultivating informed and responsible citizens that take an active role in their community, the Brielle Elementary School K-8 Social Studies curriculum is founded on the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Students utilize their knowledge and skills as they analyze perspectives and gain a global awareness to make decisions and contributions as informed citizens. Historic events are meshed with 21st-century concepts to enable students to have a diverse understanding of people, places, and events that have shaped our nation and world. Social Studies content is also integrated throughout English language arts instruction, allowing for authentic cross-disciplinary learning and articulation.
